Well, this is a gem right here. Hermitage found this impressive vintage Cognac in an old cellar in Salles d’Angles, on the western side of Grande Champagne. It was distilled in the year 1900, crafted from Ugni Blanc and possibly some Folle Blanche grapes before it was distilled in an old tulip-shaped Charentais still. It was then matured in 350-litre Limousin oak barrels in small cellars.

Nose: A hint of tobacco with almond, medlar, mangosteen and dry spice aromas.
Palate: The cognac has a powerful attack on the palate of dry fruit and spices but there are also many complex flavours going on at the same time including green walnuts, mangosteen, mace and cucumber.
Finish: Lingering.
