        • Wine Advocate: Vauversin’s NV Brut Original Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru is a 100% Chardonnay based on two vintages, each 50%: The 2011 part underwent the malolactic fermentation whereas the 2012 did not. Vanilla and pear aromas on the nose migrate to a very pure, delicate and elegant, quite aromatic palate. This Brut has a fine mousse and a good complexity and length. Its finish is slightly sweet. This Champagne was disgorged in February 2015 with a dosage of 8 grams per liter.

          Champagne Vauversin is 3 hectares and is located in the Grand Cru town of Oger, between the equally famous towns of Avize and Le-Mesnil-sur-Oger on the Cte des Blancs. The family has been involved in viticulture since 1640. In 2011, Laurent was the fourth generation to produce champagne under its own name. Only Chardonnay is grown, the annual production is only 18,000 bottles.Download winemaker informationLaurent is a person who questions and tackles a lot when it seems important to him. He wants to create the best possible and most sensible transition, between preserving centuries of experience and new, contemporary impulses and visions.The first thing he tackled was the conversion to organic viticulture – in 2014 the winery received certification, making it the first organic company in Oger. Biodiversity in the vineyard was particularly important to him.
