Troy & Sons Oak Reserve is distilled from 100% heirloom, non-GMO white corn, using pure Appalachian spring water. Aged for approximately three years in used Woodford Reserve Bourbon barrels, it is bottled at 80 proof.

This is an aged version of the Troy & Sons Platinum Small-Batch Moonshine. Its mash-bill is 100% Heirloom Crooked Creek Corn, which is a non-genetically modified corn produced continuously for 120 years on McEntire Farm in North Carolina. No age statement, but the whiskey is mellowed in charred oak barrels.

Troy & Sons Oak Reserve Whiskey Tasting Notes

Nose: Theres a hint of sweet, white corn on the nose, along with some deep vanilla from the oak. More sniffs reveal a bit of mild cherry.

Palate: Texturally, this is a syrupy spirit with a fair amount of heat on the palate. Unfortunately the oak influence actually hides some of the pure corn flavor present on the un-aged spirit.

Finish: Long and rich.
