Tomintoul 1967 TWA 46-Year-Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes
Nose: When pouring already got a juicy apple note from the glass. Sweet caramel and a good dose of oak. A slightly musty smell comes from the background, which flies with some time in the glass. Vanilla and a thick note that reminds me of warm must. Ne track lemon. From the alcohol, I notice nothing at all.
Palate: Nutty bitterness followed by a pleasant honey taste. Shell must, almonds and some dark chocolate. It develops a good dose of pepper, which I just did not expect. At the second sip clearly pear. You do not notice much of the alcohol.
Finish: Medium. Again, the bitterness. But also the honey and the pear. Proving mouthfeel.
