Rare 26 year old Rosebank single malt scotch whisky, independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company! Rosebank closed back in 1993, but is one of a handful of distilleries that are due to reopen in the near future – and the label shows some busy workers getting Rosebank ready! Of course, a lot of the work will be chucking out all of the stuff from when it was last open in the ’90s, like that Pog collection or that toy of Bully from Bullseye. Y’know, distillery things. Batch 1 is a release of 321 bottles. That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.

That Boutique-y Whisky Company Rosebank 26 Year Old Batch #1 Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 500ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Theres foam bananas, vanilla and white chocolate at first, then some grapefruit bitterness and old book musk. Lemon sherbets, almond butter and soft toffee pennies develop with time.

Palate: The palate is delicate but well-rounded, with notes of barley sugar, honey and green fruits, with candied citrus peel, cedar wood and some ancient oak spice.

Finish: The grapefruit returns with a little golden syrup.

Distillery Information

The Rosebank distillery is situated in Camelon on the banks of the Forth and Clyde canal between Edinburgh and Glasgow. Its name originated after the roses which grew along the banks of the canal. In October 2017 Ian MacLeod Distillers Ltd purchased the site from Scottish Canals and the trademarks from Diageo with the intention of reopening the site.
