This giant really should try to keep track of his belongings better. If he doesn’t, he might lose that strawberry jam sandwich he’s got in his pocket too! Batch 6 is a release of 355 bottles. That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.

Nose: Very gentle sugar sweetness, ripe banana, a touch of vanilla rice pudding, dry grassy aromas and gentle floral notes.

Palate: Mixed herbs fade into the luxurious sweetness of caramel oozing from chocolate, with fresh peach and a hint of lemon peel.

Finish: Buttery sweetness, with warming pepper spice lingering long after the last sip.

Distillery Information

Glenburgie, also known as Glenburgie-Glenlivet, Glen Burgie or Glenburry is a whisky distillery near Alves, Moray. There are mentions of a distillery being founded as early as 1810, then known as Kilnflat. It wasn’t until 1829 that official records for the distillery show up. After running into financial difficulty, the distillery closed in 1870 before being renamed Glenburgie in 1871. It re-opened in 1878, under Charles Kay. There were ownership changes and around 1880 it came into the possession of Alex Fraser and Company. It was then incorporated in 1895. This situation lasted 30 years; it was liquidated in 1925, and then was closed again between 1927 and 1935.
