A super aromatic rum from Samaroli, dubbed SPQR. We have confirmed that this stands for Senatus Populusque Romanus, which was the name for the government of the ancient Roman Republic. As Samaroli themself says, “Any resemblance to real events and/or to real persons and/or real Organization, living or dead, is purely coincidental.” Lots of Mediterranean flavours to be found here, and it was bottled up in Scotland at 48% ABV in 2020, with a release of 723 bottles.
