Plantation Rum Multi Island XO is a blend of molasses-based rums sourced from undisclosed distilleries in Cuba, Fiji, Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Trinidad, Panama, Haiti, Saint Luci, Runion and Nicaragua. These are distillates from stills and column stills. They were matured for an indefinite period in ex-bourbon casks, then in Ferrand cognac casks, and finally in Vieux Pineau des Charentes white wine casks, where the blend matured for 8 months.
