The blend of premier cru eaux-de-vie is a celebration of Louis Royer’s passion for exceptional cognacs – a passion that has been handed down through the generations. Every drop that’s gone into creating Eloge has been carefully aged for decades in the Paradis Cellar of the house, which has truly enhanced the richness and complexity of the cognac. Eloge is an exquisite and unique Cognac, extraordinarily powerful with both intense and mellow aromatic notes. Its remarkable bouquet unveils a rich and complex rancio, the signature aroma of grand old cognacs, and offers an exceptionally long lasting finish… the holy grail for all cognac lovers. The precious nectar is nestled in a crystal decanter, designed like a multi-faceted diamond to illuminate the golden reflections of its deep amber color. Each piece of crystal is unique and handmade, preserving the craftmanship and knowledge of the ancestors of the house of Louis Royer. Only 300 decanters of Louis Royer Eloge have been produced in this first edition. Each is individually numbered and presented in an elegant case.

Louis Royer Eloge Cognac | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Delightful aroma.

Palate: Subtle and discrete notes of candied citron, blackberry, lychee and exotic fruits, smooth and delicate hints of hyacinth and orange blossom, slowly revealed notes of saffron, beeswax and nutmeg flower, elegant and subtle hints of sandalwood and liquorice wood.

Finish: Refreshing and Lingering.

Distillery Information

Louis Royer is situated in the town of Jarnac, overlooking the Charente River. One of the oldest Cognac companies in the World, known for their love for bees, hence their bee emblem. Louis Royer was more than just a skilled cellar master, and it didnt take him long to realize he would be much better off running his own business, rather than working for other Cognac houses. He set up his first Cognac still in 1853 at the ripe old age of 25. Before that, he kept bees to produce his own honeya hobby that he maintained for his entire life. The logo of the Louis Royer Cognac remained a gold and blue honey bee to this day.
