Loch Lomond original singal malt whiskey is carefully matured , before being married in the finest oak casks for the perfect harmony of flavours and aroma. The result is an elegant and full bodied whisky with a smoothness making this exceptionally easy to drink, with a distinctive background character enabling a hint of smoke and peat.

Nose: Caramel, oily walnut, a touch of dusty oak smokiness.

Palate: Digestive biscuits and ginger snaps. Subtle vegetal notes develop later on.

Finish: Diced almond, coffee bean, toasted malt.

Distillery Information

Loch Lomond Distillery was commissioned by the Littlemill Distilling Company in 1964 with first distillation in 1966. In 1984, the distillery closed – or fell silent, to use the traditional term. Happily though, Alexander Bulloch and the Glen Catrine company acquired the business and resumed malt production in 1987. Grain whisky production began in 1993 and two new malt stills were added in 1999.
