Distillery Information

Kinclaith Distillery was built in Glasgow, in the Lowlands, within the Strathclyde Grain distillery complex. Long John International Limited, owners of the Strathspey complex, founded the distillery in 1957. Whitbread bought the facility in 1975, and later the distillery was closed. The Loch Katrine was the main source of water. They had one wash and one spirit still, of the Speyside variety, and the unpeated maltings were industrial.
