Castarde’s vintage armagnacs are all based on Baco and some Ugni Blanc grapes. They have fruit and earthy tones reminiscent of the rural landscape of southwest France. This 1984 vintage was bottled in January 2019 so it has aged for 35 years.

Nose: Dried orange, dried flowers. dried peach, nutmeg and cedar.
Palate: Dried peach, dried pear, dried orange, touches of lemon cream and hints of nutmeg, sweet spices and vanilla.
Finish: Smooth and versatile.
Distillery Information
It is the oldest trading House of Armagnac. Established in 1832. This year, it just turned 184 years old. The Castarde Family has been managing and developping this activity since 6 generations. Today, Florence Castarde runs the company. It owns one of the most important collections of Armagnac vintages, the oldest one dating from 1893. Their masters of cellars, who succeeded stayed respectively, 36 and 25 years. They demonstrate of the continuity of this traditional knowledge, regarding the selection of the best productions from the Bas Armagnac , the methods of distillation and aging.
