Tequila: Aguila Real Reposado

Escudo Aguila Real tequilas source their agave from a single estate and cook the pinas in traditional brick ovens for a full 3 days and the distillation is done in batch method from copper pot stills. The reposado expression is aged for 8 months in American oak; in a move unusual in the tequila world, they use new oak (some would say “virgin oak”) as opposed to ex-bourbon barrels that are used by the great majority of the industry.

Nose: The smooth aroma of wood blends in between the delightful scent of cooked agave.

Palate: A robust bouquet of sweet agave honey and caramel notes accompanied by subtle apple and pear accents, well balanced from start to finish.

Finish: A clean finish.
