Full of character and flavour, this single malt’s label celebrates the congeners a blanket term for flavour compounds that give whiskies like this one their complex characters and depth of flavour. Aromas of raisins, leafy bracken, cherries, buttery almond and cherry Bakewells, stewed apples and caramel fill the nose. The palate offers notes of vanilla sponge, candied orange, baking spices, vanilla cream, blackcurrant, pears and buttered malt loaf that linger in the finish.
