Sancerre is most famous for it`s wonderfully crisp and clean Sauvignon Blanc, but the region produces outstanding Pinot Noir-based ross too. This particularly fine example is produced by brother and sister team Arnaud and Stphanie Dezat, who gained experience working with their father and uncle at the esteemed Domaine Andr Dezat. This is a dry, refreshing wine with hints of soft red fruit, white flowers and clean citrussy zing. Producer Information

Dezat is one of the oldest winegrower families in the Sancerre area, with history dating back to the 16th century. Andr DEZAT took over the family business in 1948, and his sons Louis and Simon developed it, notably with the exploitation of the Pouilly Fum appellation in the 80s, then Menetou-Salon in 2006.Today, siblings Stephanie and Arnaud Dezat, Louis’ daughter and son, create their own estate in the township of Verdigny. They perpetuate this heritage, and are committed to offering the authentic wines that have made the reputation of “DEZAT” wines for decades.The Dezat winemaking philosophy is to produce wines that both reflect the regions terroir as well as respect the land. Together, Stephanie and Arnaud manage 22.5 hectares (about 56 acres) across 3 appellations: Menetou, Sancerre and Pouilly Fum.
