Antique Lions of Spirit is a joing bottling between Sansibar Whisky, Silver Seal and Lions Whisky. Recreating the old bottlings from the famous independent bottler Moon Imports from Italy these single malts were carefully selected to the maximum quality.

Nose: Another example of a fairly neutral, slightly silent style. Cooked apples and baked pears, peaches, with some spices and caramelized nuts. Hints of bread and malty notes. Perhaps a little bung cloth, giving it an old-style side again. Do we sense a common theme for the entire series already?

Palate: Nicely thick, same feeling of old-style, warm spirit and relatively low cask influence. Stewed apples, oranges, a bit of raisin sweetness and honey, cinnamon and something of cask char.

Finish: Long, with fruity traces and some oak spices and a hint of walnuts and milk chocolate.

Distillery Information

Tormore distillery is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky distillery located approximately 1 km south of the River Spey. Its water source is the Achvochkie Burn. The Tormore is one of the younger Scottish whiskies, the distillery construction began in 1958 and was completed in 1960. It was the first new distillery to be built in the country in the 20th century.
