This whisky is only released once a year and is considered by many to be one of the best whiskies in the world. Laphroaig’s signature smoky, peaty, coastal malt. Nose: burnt-rubber, pepper, seaside air, creosote, lemon, orange, leather, brine, and slightly grassy notes. Taste: Smoke and peat are apparent from the start. There is also a lot of sweetness and citrus on the palate, which is more prevalent in the finish. Finish: The finish is short and peppery with notes of citrus and pepper.
