Rmy Martin has unveiled a limited edition Louis XIII Cognac in celebration of the brands 140th anniversary, Louis XIII Black Pearl Anniversary Edition. The blend of more than 1,200 eaux-de-vie ranging from 40 to 100 years in age is from a single 560 liter tiercon (tieron in French exactly) taken from the Heriard Dubreuil familys private cellars, the third of its kind released by the family in the past century. This special limited edition Black Pearl cognac made its U.S. debut on October 30 at Alicia Keys annual Black Ball gala, the centerpiece of an exclusive auction prize that generated $30,000 for the singers Keep a Child Alive charity.

One the biggest Cognac, most well-established houses is located in the heart of Cognac and deeply in the hearts of its consumers. Remy Martin, originally a Winegrower, founded his company almost 300 years agoin 1724.By 1774, the family became one of the prime Cognac producers, while acquiring new land just outside of Cognac.
