“Cavalchina” is the name of the area surrounding the winery, a name that probably has been attributed to the fact that it was the residence of Count Cavalchini. Placed the extreme South-East of the moraine amphitheater of Garda, it has always been clear to winegrowing, especially for drought resistance, keynote of the moraine soils of Garda.The Cavalchina farm born at the beginning of the last century with the acquisition of the first group of vineyards, the winery was built later and was intended in part to the distillery of the marc, that facility remained in operation until 1967 . The most important historical fact tied Cavalchina Winery within the wine is certainly the invention of Custoza, in the sense that the Cavalchina in 1962 was the first to call Custoza white wine of the area, obtained from grapes of Fernanda, Trebbiano and Garganega and bring this wine to establish itself in the market, then the most important, such as Rome and Milan.
